On July 3rd our church has their annual Celebrate Freedom Block Party for our community while the city of Kennesaw has fireworks. Since we are in the heart of Kennesaw hundreds of people come and lay out their blankets and lawn chairs to watch the fireworks on our campus! Our parking lots were slammed full of cars and people as well as any grassy area!!!
Our college ministry was in charge of cotton candy...
they used one of the nurseries for storage and believe it or not they ran out!
We had juicy watermelon...
Ice cold snowcones...
Hotdog meals (1 hotdog, 1 bag of chips & 1 drink for $1)...
The student ministry was in charge of handing out balloons...
We had popcorn...
7 different jumpies (inflatables-carousel, obstacle courses, slides)...
and a bungee jump station space for 5 bungee jumpers...
Our church provides everything at no cost (except the hotdog meals)! At dark we all got situated and watched the spectacular fireworks show! It was a great evening and our kiddos had a blast :)

What a wonderful community outreach! I remember Eric & Erin writing about it on their blog. Looks like so much fun!
