Woweeee

So, we were at my brothers house last week and I decided to weigh each of the girls. Matt has a fancy scale which calculates body fat and water percentages, you put in all your data, age, gender, athlete (non-athlete in my case) all that healthy stuff! I was just curious to see how much Lizzy weighed compared to Anna!

Here are the totals:

Emma was 43lbs

Anna was 28lbs

Lizzy was 24lbs

These measurements were of course fully clothed, too much trouble taking off clothes and the threat of someone peeing on my hand (since I had to hold them still on the scale by their feet) or the floor was great! An important fact was that Emma weighed 24lbs at 1 year, Lizzy is 16 months!!! I really do have to find a picture of her in a bathing suit at that age. . .she could put a new spin on "Truffle Shuffle", a Naomi Osborne trademark!

So I of course looked back to see if I could find a picture, and I found some that she is really cute in! She is close to 1 year old here. . .

The above picture was taken in May, she was 16 months, the same age as Lizzy now. The one below is one of my favorites (taken in July, she was 18mo)!I just love this one too! Gotta love them ham-hocks!

Sassy Hair

Ok, so I followed a trend, which I normally don't do because they go out as quick as they came in!!! A lot of little girls we know or that go to church with us have a "bob" haircut. Emma & Lizzy have curly hair (you can see it when it's wet) and Anna has stick straight hair, very fine and just gets tangled! I do use shampoo w/conditioner as well as a detangler every morning to help combat her tangles! So I decided one day last week after her bath that I was going to cut it to her shoulders so it wouldn't get so tangly and to "change her look". She of course moved during the haircut and I cut it a little shorter than I had planned, but I think she looks so cute with her new do! I only cut a few inches off but it made a huge difference! I tried to get some pictures of just her hair, but Anna loves the camera and kept posing for me. Jody wants all us girls to have long hair so he was a bit nervous about cutting Anna's hair short, but he agrees it fits her personality. The only thing Anna was upset about was not having what she calls her "braids" which are actually pig-tails. Her hair had recently been long enough to put them in! Emma was upset about the haircut because she's always wanted her hair short (which Jody and I will not let her do)??? Jealousy. . .

Cupcakes!

I made cupcakes to take to some friends last week and of course we had a bunch left over! The girls immediately wanted 1. . .or 2! I did something I never do and just gave them each a cupcake without stripping them of all clothing or covering all clothing with bibs (Anna & Lizzy only, Emma doesn't wear bibs???!!!). I guess I really just wanted to see what Lizzy would do. . .you should have seen her, she dove into that cupcake, mouth wide open ready for a sweet bite of frosting and cake, she continued to eat like that until it was gone. Emma of course had to get some attention and act like she had made a mess too. . .Anna likes to pose for pictures as soon as she sees the camera! They enjoyed their cupcakes and I got some cute pictures! I love this picture of Lizzy, she likes to push on the table with her feet at the table, every single time she eats!!! She's a cute little stinker!

Mel's Shower!

This past Saturday my friend Angela and I had the privilege of throwing a bridal shower for our good friend Melissa (she's in the middle). Angela hosted the shower at her apartment in Wake Forest. Mel and I met in Middle School and have been good friends ever since! We ate yummy shower food and this was the after picture of the table, I forgot to take a picture before-whoops! We played bridal shower games and Melissa opened more presents! We played games like unscramble the wedding associated words, finish the phrase and my favorite "How well do you know your groom", a game only for Melissa! Angela and I called Michael before the shower and asked him some questions and Melissa had to answer them in front of the crowd! She did OK, getting 3 out of 10 correct!!! I do have to say we caught him off guard with some of the questions like "if you could be a superhero who would you be?" and "If you could change your name what would you change it to?". . .we didn't want boring questions!!! We are all looking forward to the wedding in Fayetteville in less than two weeks, I can't belive it and I know Melissa can't either!!!

We spent the rest of 2007 in Garner, NC. We ate dinner with my parents, brother and sister-in-law and ended the year playing Matt's (my brother) WII.

The girls jumped right in playing this cool new game they had only seen on TV!
Jody and I had fun playing too (no pictures of us actually playing)!Lizzy surprisingly was the only one to crash before ringing in the New Year! We are paying for it today, we have really grumpy girls on our hands, what a great way to start off the New Year!!!
