I mentioned a few days ago about Emma and our family adjusting to her being in public school instead of homeschooling, then said stay tuned....Emma remembered her carpool number and gave her school supplies to her teacher :) Way to go Emma!!!
She has also been selected as the Media Assistant for her class which she has no idea what that means or what she's supposed to do as the "Media Assistant"?!
She had an open house last week where we were able to meet some more school staff, some of her classmates and their parents! Jody and I were able to find out a lot more about Emma's school day too....she actually has 30 minutes to eat lunch instead of 6....there are not 6 Jacksons in her class, only 2....she has 27 kids in her class instead of 10!!!
Next week we get to see what this "Media Assistant" will be and she has school pictures?!

I'm so proud of Emma. Sounds like she is doing great in her adjustment to public school. So glad that you were able to meet her classmates and other school staff too!
PS. When I taught, my media assistant had two jobs: (1) to straighten our bookshelves in our classroom (2) to bring books back to our school library when classmates brough them back to school.
Its sounds like Emma is doing well so far. She loves books so I'm sure she will be a great media assistant!

Glad you were able to go to her open house. I bet that clarified so much--gotta love school through a first grader's eyes! So great to hear that she is transitioning well and enjoys it! YAY!
