Dereks Graduation

Here are some pictures we took of my cousin Derek's High School Graduation. He graduated in Binkley Chapel which is on Southeastern Seminary's campus. He attended a Charter School in Wake Forest and this was the first graduating class of the school. Binkley is huge and with a graduating class of 38 it looked very empty! All my little cousins are growing up!!!

Crawley, Crawlerson

So Lizzy decided a few weeks ago that she was going to attempt to crawl. She has figured out it is much faster that rolling and spinning. She had a modified scooch/crawl for a couple of days, but has graduated to a full crawl this past week! She still gets places faster rolling and spinning, but it won't be long before she figures out she can crawl faster with more practice! She just turned 9 months 2 weeks ago so she's ahead of both of her sisters who didn't crawl until they were 10 months! I'll get some pics on here soon, hopefully action shots :-)

"Polly, Polly"

I have to brag on my middle child this morning, Anna Virginia! All on her own she has pooped twice and peed twice on the potty just in the past 2 days! She just says, "Polly-Polly", which means I have to go potty! This time we're not pushing. . .hopefully it will work faster than with her sister who could write her name before she was potty trained, she wasn't trained until she was 3 years old! That's the difference between kids!!!

Memorial Day 2007

We took a trip to the North Carolina Zoo on Memorial Day! The girls had been bugging us to go for weeks and since Jody had the day off we decided to go! The Asheboro Zoo is only a couple of hours from our house, and we went with the Holderby's, some friends of ours. Sean & Amy have become good friends of ours and their little girl Makayla and Emma have become best buds! Makayla is a year older than Emma but they get along pretty well! We were able to see the Polar Bears, Giraffes, Elephants, Rhinos, Sea Lions, Bison, and many more (too many to name)! It was a hot day at the Zoo, but the girls had a blast and they slept really well that night! The girls each bought a stuffed Monkey and we were on our way home! It was a good day! Spring Retreat 2007

Here are some pictures of a recent youth trip we took to Camp Oak Hill in Oxford, NC. We had to post-pone the first trip due to a death in our church family and lost some students when we changed the date. We ended up with six teenagers, but God worked in their hearts and we all had a good time! We played a fierce game of kickball the second day we were there, and I'm happy to declare that my team won of course! The leaders we took brought their spouse along so we had to put them on separate teams so as not to be biase!It was a short Retreat, only a day and a half, we left on a Friday evening and returned in time for Sunday School, but good. We left Emma and Anna with my parents for the weekend and took Lizzy along with us. The girls had a blast at Papa and Wanka's house and Lizzy enjoyed all the attention from the students and leaders! God truly is working in the hearts of our students and leaders at Stony Hill! We are looking forward to a mission trip to Florida in early July!
