Car seat! Jack really outgrew his infant car seat about 2 months ago! I've been wanting to switch him to a big boy car seat, still rear facing since he is not yet one year and 20lbs. But unfortunately we didn't have a car seat for him and car seats are expensive! I just kept saying he only has a few months left to be in the infant seat, so we'll just have to wait. But the more I put him in and took him out, I thought he's never going to make it a FEW MORE MONTHS! Jack is going to have a problem hitting 20lbs by one year but he's already too big for the seat! On a side note, the girls were all around 25 lbs at a year old :)
I was in Target one day a few weeks ago and the car seat I had been eyeing was on sale by quite a bit...I looked at Jack, feet hanging off the end of his seat and said I have to buy this car seat, so I did! Jack loves his new car seat!!! And this one fits him so much better :)

awww!!! He is getting sooo big!!! :0)
We bought Rosalie a convertible carseat too - we havn't changed it yet, though.
We have always kept our little ones rear facing until 18 months or so. New recommendations are starting to surface to keep them rear facing until 2 years old. Turning them to front facing has more to do with the developing muscles in their necks and not how much they weigh. So, the longer you can keep them rear facing, the better and more safe they are!
We'll probably keep Rosalie rear facing until she's 2.
He is such a cutie! :-)
I love you Jack!
Love Grandma Teresa
