gummin' It

Although Jack has only 8 teeth (4 front top & 4 front bottom), he can gum an entire piece of pizza! We figure this out by mistake, I had asked Emma to give Jack the crust of the pizza and she gave him an entire piece?! But he ate the entire thing, this boy can eat!!! His two bottom molars are about to break through his gums so he's been drooling on everything and chewing on anything he can get in his mouth!

On another note he is still not walking, he's 14 months! His pediatrician has assured us that only 50% of kiddos walk at one year (the window for normalcy is between 9-16 months) and since he does have older siblings he would more than likely walk later! This is because all he has to do is point and jibber jabber and they get him whatever he wants! He has taken up to 3 steps at a time, but I don't consider that walking! He stands alone and can cruise around holding on to just about anything! His favorite toy is his "truck", a walk behind toy he pushes everywhere, he's even figured out how to move it when he runs into a wall!!! I am not looking forward to the walking, he already gets into everything just by crawling :)

Consignment Sale continues...

I got such great deals I decided to post Emma & Jack's deals separately!!!

Since Anna & Lizzy have Emma's hand-me-downs I didn't really plan on buying them any clothes (they seriously have a lot of hand-me-downs) but these dresses were absolutely beautiful and a great deal too. Anna saw this dress and begged me to but it for her and I knew Lizzy would love the orangey/peach princess dress!!!

Here are the outfits I got Jack, they are all Children's Place, Old Navy and Carter's! Oh and did I mention I payed $1 each for almost all of these pieces (except the overalls at $2) that are in excellent condition?!?!?

I'm so excited for the kiddos to wear all their "new" clothes, I think even more than they do themselves!!! Did I mention there are more sales in the next few weeks? I'm excited to see what other great delas I can find :)

Consignment Extravaganza

Whoever invented consignment sales...bringing all kinds of Moms, Dads & Grandparents together to sell their gently used baby/childrens items at one time for great deals...GENIUS!!! If you have never considered consignment sales I strongly suggest you try them! You will spend a fraction of the money for clothes, shoes & toys! Kiddos grow so very fast and if they are anything like my girls they can ruin some clothes (spills or just romping around)! I can't see paying full price for pieces of clothing or shoes that will only be worn a few months, be ruined after one wear or toys they will get bored with only after little use! Plus I love a great deal!!! I see it as being a good steward of what we have been given!

This past weekend was a consignment sale extravaganza!!! Our church was hosting a consignment sale as well as a few other churches in the area. Since Jack is our only boy we have few (from friends) hand-me-downs for him :) And since Emma is the oldest and seems to grow a couple of inches each season, we don't have many hand-me-downs for her either! I hit one of the sales early afternoon looking for summer clothes for Emma & Jack. I found a bunch for Jack (another post) and some things I thought Emma would like but decided to come back with her after school, (the church where the sale was backs up to our subdivision so it was super close) since she is picky about what she wears these days! I then hit our church sale that evening with a friend where everything was reduced by half off the ticketed price, super bonus! Here are some of the outfits and shoes (that had not been worn) I got for Emma...

I was so pumped at the awesome deals I found and Emma was happy with our purchases, score one for Mommy! These are good quality clothes too, Old Navy, Carter's, Bongo, etc. The great thing is that these clothes will be worn for a few more years (Anna & Lizzy) making it splendifurous :) I will have to get her some more pieces, but we're off to a great start!!!

Georgia Residents

We finally were able to go get our Georgia driver's licenses! We've tried a few times, but every time we've had the kiddos and there has been a very long line. My NC license expired on my birthday (Feb.14th), and I was getting kind of worried about driving around illegally!!! Jody's day off is Fridays, so we woke up the kiddos early, got Emma off to the bus and off we went to the DDS (Department of Drivers Services)! They open at 7:30 and because of traffic we got there a little after 8. Hardly had to wait in line, but I forgot one important document, our marriage license! I had looked online to make sure we had everything we needed, but apparently the DDS employee didn't agree! The website said I only needed my social security card with my legal married name on it to prove my name had been legally changed from Sarah Marie Goodew to Sarah Marie Livingston! So I and the kiddos hopped in the car and drove back home, got the marriage license and back to the DDS. It really wasn't that bad even with 3 of the 4 kiddos! Above is a picture of me and my temporary license, my "real" license will be mailed to me in the next 2-4 weeks! Jody would not pose for a picture!!!
