Check-ups

I forgot to tell everyone about the girls check-up on Friday the 13th. . . .Lizzy went for her 1 month weight check (7 months) and was 13lb 15 oz (she gained almost 4 lbs in 1 month)! She's back in the 5%. Dr. Ryan thought she may go up percentage wise but probably stay near the 5th. Her height has stayed in the 5% too. Anna went for her 18 month check-up and weighed 24lbs (same as Emma weighed at 1 year) and 30 inches tall. She was 40% for weight, 25% for length! We think Anna will be our shorty! They are growing up fast!!!

The Marker Incident

Our little Anna has soared to new heights! One day earlier this week the girls and I were watching "Happy Feet" (their new favorite movie). Lizzy fell asleep so I went to lay her down in her room. On my way back into the living room I noticed Emma's bedroom door was open, not a good Anna sign. She is not allowed in Emma's room unless mommy and daddy are in there because Emma's room has smaller toys, smaller pieces to toys, crayons and markers. I knew something was up. As I entered the living room Anna was coloring in a coloring book with a purple marker (which she knows she's not allowed to have). She was so proud of her "culla"! She picked up the book to give me a better view and I noticed where she had missed the pages and hit my couch! Now our couches are hand-me-downs so I wasn't too upset about the marker, but she obviously needs to learn she can't color on furniture! It was one of those moments where she really didn't realize she had done something wrong. I took the marker and the book to eliminate anymore damage and went to get a washcloth to clean up Anna. I came back in the room to find a colored purple Lizzy! All I could do was laugh and take pictures! Apparently she had two purple markers (since I still had one in my hand). Emma was so upset that Lizzy was "colored purple" that while I was talking to Anna (about only coloring on paper with markers) she cleaned Lizzy off all by herself! Did I mention Anna colored just a little bit on herself too. . .

What am I going to do with these girls?

Climby Climerson!

Anna recently has decided she can climb anything and everything. The thing is she keeps falling off things and whacking her head, arms, legs, you name it and it doesn't deter her? Today I went to lay Lizzy down for a nap, had just got her settled in her bed when Emma raced in yelling "Mommy, come look at Anna!!" I went running through the house only to find her standing on top of our kitchen table shoving chocolate out of our Easter baskets in her mouth! So I did what any good mom would do and said "where's my camera?" It was on the counter right across from the table and here's what I saw! Of course through all the commotion Lizzy woke up. I went to get her settled again and the same scene played before me, there she was again on top of the table and eating chocolate. I know all of you are thinking why did you let her get up there again? I thought I had made it impossible for her to get near the table and chairs and especially get on top of the table near the baskets. But I quickly found the culprit hiding in the living room chewing fevershly! Big sister wanted candy and was helping Anna get on the table so she would be the distraction while Emma ate candy! Emma's plan had a small flaw. . .mommy is smarter than her 4 year old!

Easter 2007

We hope you all had a fantastic Easter and were able to spend time really reflecting on this day of rejoicing! Jesus showed His passionate love for humanity when He willingly went to the cross. He said, no more talking about how much I love you; let Me show you. He bled and died because passion is more than words; it requires action. It was finished by Christ defying everyone and raising from the dead on the third day! We've been able to spend time reflecting on "Easter" with services at church on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings and an Easter egg hunt (Childrens) on Saturday morning (pictures to come). It was awesome to see all the little children get excited when we read the "Easter Story" to them because they knew what happened on Good Friday and then Easter! We are so thankful to be at our church, 5 years this month! Our digital camera isn't working properly so we have to rely on others for pictures :-( Jody went to the sunrise service at church this morning, only 26 degrees! The girls and I stayed home mainly because of the cold and early time! We had our regular 11:00am service and Matt & Diana and Teresa joined us for our first service in the new Family Life Center, the girls were so excited to see them! Emma sang with the Childrens Choir too :-) The building was great and we definately needed the space this morning! We went to my aunt's house to eat lunch with family and had a surprise party for my "Uncle White" (Dwight) as Emma calls him! Of course the girls received more than enough candy and toys to last them a while! Emma is looking forward to her Easter Egg Hunt at Preschool tomorrow!

No more rolly-polly-ollerson

Lizzy has finally decided she wants to sit up! She's been rolling around the floor for months now and has really had no interest in sitting up until last night! She stil takes head dives but can sit up without assistance for a good while by herself!

Here's a cute daddy story. . .We were out this morning doing errands, got home unloaded everything and Lizzy was fussing. When Lizzy fusses it's because she's either hungry, hot or needs a diaper change! Jody figured out what was wrong when he got her out of her car seat. . .she was soaked and leaking :-( He got her ready for a diaper change and freaked out when he pulled her jeans off, apparently the diaper had leaked and there was "poopy" all over the inside of the jeans and in turn got all over her and him. He was like "nuh-uh, I am not changing her I can't do it, you are mommy and mommy does it best". So of course I did like any good mom and decided it was better to dunk her in the bathtub rather than rubbing her down! Jody (after a lot of convincing) and I started stripping off her clothes (Jody holding Lizzy under her arms and I removing the clothes), just as Jody was walking to stick her in the bathtub she started peeing everywhere, all over daddy and the bathroom! I grabbed her shirt and used it to stop "pee-pee" from going all over the bathroom! Jody was completely grossed out and was like I need to take a shower, I've been pooped on twice and now peed all over! It was so funny. . .sorry I don't have any pictures!
