Repeat?

Friday Lizzy and I spent the afternoon at her pediatrician and wake radiology...she had hurt her arm early that afternoon, Jody had a hold of her hand, she tried to pull away and ended up falling on the ground. She was very upset and wouldn't use her arm, so I called right away and got her in. Aunt Diana came and met me at the pediatrician's office to watch the other kiddos, little did I know she would end up in the car with 4 kids (3 of mine and my niece) for 2.5 hours!!! The pediatrician thought it might be a fractured wrist, so she sent us to wake radiology for x-rays. Lizzy was ok in the waiting room, she was really hurt, because all she wanted to do was sit on my lap and put her head down, her arm was limp and she was holding it with her other hand. It took 2 nurses and I to hold her arm still to take the x-rays, if you touched her arm she would say "no, don't touch, it hurts", and for the x-rays we had to rotate it...she was screaming, poor thing:-( But after the x-rays were taken her mood changed and she seemed fine about 10 minutes later! Jody and I think she actually had nursemaids elbow like Anna had....and when we had to rotate her arm for the x-ray, we popped it back in place, that's also why nothing came up in the x-ray.
I ask her every morning how her arm is and she says fine and shows me she can move it again...let's hope this isn't a repeat of Anna!!!

Oh, it does sound like nursemaid's elbow! So glad that she is okay, and hope that it won't happen again!

PS. I have to tell you that yesterday during Children's Church we were talking about how God made families. During one "game" I had them all pretending to be a different member of the family. Anna was the mom and she made dinner for us all. Lizzy was the Grandma and she "rocked" baby Miley in the rocking chair and then fed her pretend baby food. It was cracking Candy and I up!

This same thing happened to our Luke about 2 years ago!! The bad part was that he had a bruise on his forehead and the Dr. thought he was being abused because I couldn't tell him HOW the arm got hurt!!
