Outside

Since we've been outside so much lately I thought I'd share our outside space! I do believe I forgot to add the outside pictures to my original posts about the house, so here's the backyard!

Look closely and you can see my "mini" vegetable garden! I was afraid that Jake would dig up all my veggies if I planted a garden in the ground :) We planted green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. My dad is starting some basil, rosemary and other herbs for me to grow next time they come visit! I can't wait to eat all my fresh veggies!!!

Back deck directly behind the kitchen, my table and chairs fit perfectly here!!! Oh and i can't forget our Hummingbird feeder...

Mom and I planted this flower box full of flowers when they were here a week or so ago! You can see it from our kitchen window :)

This is the view from my vegetable garden of the screened in part of the back deck.

From the backyard looking at the gazeebo, which is attached to the screened in porch through a doorway. This is our favorite outside space! There are even lights on the inside of the gazeebo and we strung up some porch lights along the inside of the screened in porch :) I wish I could show you this at night!!!

And this is the view from the side of the house walking towards the back deck! There were tons of leaves plastered to the ground, hence the spotty grass, we are hoping to seed the yard this week :)

And the way backyard, a ton of ivy and leaves cover the ground, the front took us days to get the leaves, twigs and sticks up, so we decided to leave them alone for now!

What are your favorite places to be outside?

House Pictures Update...

Here are the updated pictures I promised!

Here is what our bedroom looks like today! As I said before we were given a king size bed, we had to purchase the mattress and box springs as well as the bedding. We were unable to have someone make bedding for us, but I asked a good friend Allison Reid (an interior designer friend from NC) for advice on good bedding choices, fabrics, coverlets vs. comforters, duvets, etc. on a budget. I took her suggestions and found this bedding that was of course on clearance, I LOVE a great deal!!! I think it turned out pretty good and my favorite color is green too :)

This is what the new guest bedroom looks like, all ready for guests!!!

Here is new artwork in the playroom, the kiddos are working on the rest of the art for the walls...

New House-Part 5

Here are the last of the inside of our new home!
This is our bedroom, way bigger than any bedroom we've ever had and as you can see we don't have a lot of furniture to fill it! We have actually been given a king size bed, and have bought a mattress and box springs for it as well as bedding (these pictures were taken right after we moved in) :) The bedroom suite pictured has actually become the guest bedroom suite! I'll get updated pictures on here soon :)
And here is the master bathroom!
My closet is in a room off the bathroom...

New House-Part 3

Here is the upstairs, starting with the view from the top of the stairs looking towards the kiddos bedrooms and the guest bedroom...

And here is Emma & Anna's room, we decided to keep them together since they are used to the bunk beds and Lizzy is such a dare devil we were afraid of what she'd do :)

The kiddos Monkey bathroom, they wanted princesses but Daddy said no way since Jack technically shares the bathroom too! I think "Monkey theme" was a perfect solution for our little Monkeys!!!

New House-Part 2

Ok, here's the second part of the downstairs of our new house!!!

The desk area in the kitchen, tons of extra storage and extra working space :)

Here is my second favorite room in the house and the place I spend a LOT of time, my kitchen!!! It is located in the back of the house with two large windows that overlook our deck and backyard :) Did I mention I have a dishwasher and her name is not "Sarah":) I am so excited to finally have a working dishwasher again after almost 5 years!!!

Here is the laundry/mud room, this room is right off the garage and opens to the kitchen or the back deck...lots of storage here too. There is also a large pantry that i didn't take a picture of!

Our half bath downstairs, the girls absolute favorite is the sink and the "awesome floor"!

Another hallway shot from the living room looking towards the front door...

Jody likes to call this our Colonel Mustard Room, his favorite in the house! It took me a few days, but this room is easily my favorite room in the house too :)
