We made it!

We made it through another week at home minus Daddy (did I mention this was the third trip he's been gone since the end of June?)...please be in prayer as the team heads home today, arriving sometime late this evening!  I'll be posting pictures and updates on the week in El Salvador once Jody is home :)  Thanks to everyone who has called, sent messages or texts checking on me and the kiddos here at home, you guys are awesome!!!  Thanks for the special treats too :)

Greats & Grands Visit

This past weekend Jody's Granny, Dad, step-mom and brother came to visit us in Georgia!  We had a great time showing them around Kennesaw and our church!

We had a great visit with family and were sad to see them head back to Tennessee :(  Hopefully we'll get back to Tennessee soon!

For Jody who flew out this morning to El Salvador, he will be gone Tuesday-Friday.  Jody and another one of our church members are joining a group from a local Baptist Church to scout out the field for mission trips in the coming years!  Please pray for safe travel, no sickness, open hearts for the people they will be ministering to and safe travel home!  This is Jody's third and final trip this summer without us!  I'll be at home with the kiddos, so pray that I don't get too frazzled and stressed out too!  I'll post pictures and updates as Jody sends/gives them to me!  He is not able to take his cell phone on this trip either, hopefully this time we can get Skype working!   

On the first day of second grade...

I love that Veggie Tales song!!!  Here are some pictures I snapped of Emma's first day of second grade last week!  She's growing up way too fast and was NOT thrilled that I wanted to take a bunch of pictures, but here they are, one day she'll thank me!

Emma had a great first day, she was super nervous about it, but by the time she got home the "tummy ache" from the morning had disappeared!  So thankful she had a great first day at school and look forward to many more great days at school!!!
