Here comes AWANA!

Friday August 17th we had our big AWANA kick-off!

We invited children of all ages (our AWANA program starts at age 3 and goes through highschool) to our new Family Life Center (FLC) for our Wild West Round-Up!

We had booths set-up for the children to walk through and get tickets to redeem at the trading post! We had panning for gold, a spoon & egg walk, lasoing, pony rides, hay rides, watermelon eating contest, horseshoes, craft table and much more!

We all had a blast dressing up in our western wear and introducing children to our AWANA program!

We're excited about the upcoming year!!

It all began back on August 19, 2000. .

Then came January 27, 2003. . .

Emma Marie Livingston was born

Then came October 12, 2005. . .

Anna Virginia Livingston was born

Then came September 2, 2006. . .

Elizabeth Maye Livingston was born

and today August 19, 2007. . .

Today we celebrated our 7th Wedding Anniversary!!! Jody surprised me Friday evening by telling me to "pack"?? We left Saturday morning, dropped the girls off at my parents house in Garner and headed to New Bern. We got to New Bern early Saturday afternoon and checked in to a beautiful bed and breakfast, Harmony House Inn. We spent the rest of the afternoon touring the town. We made dinner reservations at the Harvey Mansion for 8:00pm (we didn't have kids, it didn't matter what time we ate!!) and the food was awesome! Sunday we did some site-seeing and headed for home. We wanted to take a lot of pictures but our camera battery was almost dead :-( It was a quick trip to celebrate 7 great years of marriage!

Emma's New Room

We've spent the last few days going through toys, and there were a lot! Months ago we decided when Lizzy ended up being a girl we would put she and Anna in the same room since they are so close in age, then Emma in her own room. The spare room was also a guest/office/play room which made things tricky. We decided to have an Emma/Office Room since we didn't really have anywhere else to put out computer and office stuff. Emma is getting older now and ready for her own room! After some re-arranging we moved the "office" to join our room so Emma could have "just her own room". Jody's mom watched the girls last night so we could finish up. At the end of the night Jody went to get the girls, I stayed home so I could make the bed and when Emma came home last night the pictures are what she saw! Our goal last night was to get everything "office" out and her things in. We haven't even really touched the decorating except for a few pictures on the dresser and nightstand. I have to move her name above her bed, remove old shelves, hang pictures, etc. We still have a ways to go before we're done, but for now I am very proud of our accomplishment.

Emma got a hold of our camera yesterday and took some pictures of her "old room" while we were tearin- it up. I'm glad she had the forethought of doing this so you all could see the before and after! What a smart girl!!

Shmellows!

This story is here-say from Emma. She decided she needed a snack and to help herself to some marshmellows this afternoon (she pulls up a chair and gets in the cabinet). After she was done with her snack she left the bag on the coffee table. Lizzy decided she wanted a snack as well and thought hmmmmm...marshmellows! I only wish I was in the room to see how the bag of marshmellows got all over the entire room! And of course snap some action pictures too!

K-Dot is 2!

Saturday we went to our beloved "K-Dot"'s house for her 2nd birthday party (her actual birthday was Friday). She hosted a fun Barney party with swimming, balloons, bubbles, hotdogs, chips, and of course cake! All of my kids' favorites! It was a really fun afternoon for both Jody and I and the kids. Anna eventally made her way to the pool about 5 minutes before we had to leave! K-Dot seemed to really enjoy celebrating with her friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the cake!
